With retention rates at their lowest level in years, today has been coined ‘the great resignation’. Last year, recruitment firm Randstad UK found that 69% of workers were confident about moving to a new role in the next few months, and a further 24% were planning a career switch in three to six months.

These statistics make us so proud that at Currency Solutions, many incredible employees have spent years with us: developing their skills, expanding subject knowledge, and growing within their roles.

We’re celebrating the team members who have, through the successful completion of apprenticeships and training, shown determination, resilience, and dedication to our business. Without their hard work, we couldn’t have made it to where we are today.

Amelia, Human Resources.

Amelia joined Currency Solutions in October 2012. At the age of 17, while she was completing her Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship, she became our Customer Service Administrator. After roughly eleven months with the company, Amelia progressed to Human Resource Assistant.

While the company was still in its humble beginnings, Amelia balanced both roles for a short time. The following year, she opted to do a further apprenticeship in Level 3 Management and eventually dropped the Administrator role to focus purely on Human Resources.

Most recently, Amelia has successfully completed her level 5 CIPD in Human Resources Management.

“I very much enjoy the people and culture at Currency Solutions. As HR is all about interacting with employees, it helps that I've been able to build good working relationships and even friendships with so many.”

Beginning her journey with no prior experience in the industry, this year Amelia will reach her landmark ten-year anniversary with the company. Today, Amelia takes any difficulties and challenges in her stride,

“I find challenges a lot more thrilling today, as I'm able to gain a sense of achievement through overcoming them.”

Fionnuala, Admin Team Leader.

Fionnuala began her journey with Currency Solutions when she turned eighteen. After completing school, Fionnuala embarked on the Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship. Throughout this period, she studied and worked alongside current employees, got stuck into her work, and learned the ins and outs of her role. After a year, Fionnuala completed her apprenticeship.

“I really enjoy the friendships between everyone at Currency Solutions. No matter what department people are working in, they always will speak to everyone.”

Fionnuala has progressed within the company, and her role has changed as she’s developed her skills. She was first welcomed into the company as an Apprentice Operations Administrator, but after successfully passing her apprenticeship and impressing her colleagues, she was offered a permanent role as Operations Assistant. More recently, as Fionnuala approaches her fourth year with the company, she has been promoted to Admin Team Leader. We look forward to continuing our journey together.

Chloe, Operations Manager

At nineteen, Chloe joined the burgeoning Currency Solutions. She began her journey with us as a Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice. After learning the nuts and bolts of the business, Chloe accepted a permanent role as a Payments Assistant. After thoroughly impressing in this role as well, she progressed to the role of Payments Manager. Today, she progressed even further, and uses her subject knowledge as our Operations Manager.

Chloe has stuck with Currency Solutions through expansion and evolution, and today approaches a decade with the company.

“A key factor in why I have worked at CSL for nearly a decade is the people I worked with both in my direct team and other departments. I have been able to build great working relationships and friendships”.
